But now, I have an idea. I shall document all the things I will do, day-by-day, until I leave. I'll also try to update it after I leave, but I promise nothing. Srsly, I'll update everyday until my date of leaving, conveniently on the last day of June. So I shall update this everyday until the end of this month, when I leave this country. Which is happy and sad at the same time. Bittersweet.
So anyway, today is June 1. But today is a Wednesday, and I feel like updating you on what I have done, and/or what happened to me these past few days.
So Monday, May 30, 2011.
I went to this JB Music guitar workshop in Fully Booked, in the U-View Basement (a place I didn't know existed). I was with my bros Ted and Marshall. Well, there were 3 teachers there, 1 for guitar and 2 for bass. The first guy was the guitarist for Rivermaya. Well, I have to say, it was more of a guitar demo than a workshop. While he didn't really teach, he gave us inspirational words, and sht like that. He also showed off his 3 guitars, and his load of effects. It was pretty cool. He also asked us to jam, and stuff like that. Well, I tried it out. The jam was K, but I have to say I had some difficulty following the rhythm of the rhythm guitarist.
Next, came the bassists. The first guy was the bassist for Razorback, if memory serves me. He basically showed the bass player, as the heart of the band. He was pretty good, and funny. He showed off his guitar, answered lots of questions and stuff. The next guy was someone named Karel Honasan, and he was to show us the bass player, standing alone/as a solo instrument. He, in my opinion was the most memorable, since he was so damn good. He started off with an interpretation of Blackbird, by the Beatles. It was so cool, the slapping techniques amazed us. Then he did basically the same sht as the last 2 guys, answering questions, and stuff like that. Well, after that, the workshop (?) was done.
We went to Market Market, in the rain. It was cool. Haha. Then, inside the Mall, my mom fetched me. I thought we were going home, but then we watched this Local movie, called In The Name of Love, starring Aga Muhlach and Angel Locsin. It was pretty decent, except for the end, which was pretty impossible. So the dude gets beaten, and is about to be killed. He fights, then gets shot somewhere in the side, but kills the dude trying to kill him. He then still gets to run to a car (with the keys inside WTF.) And drives a few miles into some building, where this girl he loved was about to get killed (shot by a sniper. I mean WTH, if you'd like to kill someone, why make it complicated.). Anyway, he gets there exactly as the sniper pulls the trigger. Srsly, that would never happen. So he takes the bullet, and after some drama, etc. etc., he survives getting shot twice. I mean, really? Anyway, we got home, and blah.
Tuesday, May 31, 2011. (Yesterday.)
I don't really think I did anything today. Well, I watched TV basically all day or surfed the 'net. That's basically all. Well, my Grade 7 class was gonna have a reunion the following day, but guess what. It all fell apart. 2nd time it's happened. Man, is this really gonna push thru?
Wednesday, June 1, 2011.
Ah, finally, we get to today.
Well, this day was, like I said on Twitter, basically a stereotypical summer day. I downloaded some episodes of How I Met Your Mother (my new favorite series), and watched 5 episodes straight. In fact, after this, I shall watch more. I had Muay Thai with my friend Casey, and his brother Kuya Carl. It was tiring but fun, as usual. I had 2 rounds of sparring today, one with my Muay Thai coach (an ass-kicking, as usual.) My 2nd round was with Casey. Well, we had fun. :)) We barely even punched each other on the body. It was cool. Well, that's really all that I did for today.
I promise, I will update this everyday. At least, I'll try my best.
TTFN. :D
