Day 24.

June 24, 2011, Friday.

Classes were suspended today, effectively ending my plans of going to school the next day. Good for them tho, they were tired.

The night before, a brownout hit our street. What sucked more, it was JUST OUR EFFIN STREET. Srsly. WTH. I wanted to sleep early, but I didn't get to, 'cause it was so hot. I think I slept at 11:30, or 12 or something.

I woke up really early, upside down on the bed. It was cold, and I thought the aircon was on, and the electricity was back. But it wasn't, to my great dismay. Meralco pissed me off that morning.

Ate breakfast, which tasted purrty good, and then my mom asked me if I would like to come with her to the places she was going to. Since there was nothing else to do at home, (considering that there was no electricity) I decided to come with.

First, my mom and my dad went to a couple of banks, to settle some things, then they separated, since my dad had to go to a meeting. My mom and I then headed to Powerplant.

There, we were to eat lunch with my mom's former officemates. On the way, I saw this really great band, with an awesome jazz drummer. (You know, those bands that play inside Powerplant.) I saw what I wanted to play other than guitar. I wanted to play drums, too. Jazz drumming, to be exact.

Anyway, my mom ate lunch with her officemates, and they were having a good time. Of course, they talked to me from time to time, and asked about Canada and stuff. I answered and stuff. Yeah, but it was kinda boring. I didn't really eat a lot of lunch, and I spent a lot of time on my 2 cellphones, and my iTouch. Rockwell Free Internet, you're awesome.

In the middle of that, I decided to go to Fully Booked. You see, every time I have a long flight, I buy a book right before it. I get bored easily on planes, and that and my iPod were ways with which I cope with that. I picked a few, and narrowed them to one book, which I guessed would do.

At like 1:35, I went back to Kulinarya, the restaurant in Powerplant where my mom and her officemates were eating. They were still talking. Anyway, they said their goodbyes by 2pm, and I told my mom I had found a book for the flight. Since she was kinda late for her schedule at Bioessence, which started at 2pm, we hurried. The book I got was Paul McCartney: A Life, by Peter Ames Carlin. That'll be my companion for the flight.

We left at like 2:20, since we had the book plastic-covered. (free service by Fully Booked: thumbs-up.) It was raining really hard, but we got to Greenbelt by 2:40. I dropped off before the parking, since Netopia was just a few steps away.

In Netopia, I spent 2 and a half hours playing Command & Conquer: Generals Zero Hour (good de-stressing game.) And then my mom texted me to get back to Bioessence, since there was food. So I ran, through the torrential rain, and I got to Bioessence all wet. Inside, they were testing this new product. It was real boring for me, and I didn't eat much at all.

So that ends my day.

Stay awesome. Hope all my final despedidas push thru.

Bye.

6 days. :(

10:59PM.
